More about CMBS MS students:
- MS students are required to take 1-2 lab rotations, each lasting about 8 weeks.
- Faculty taking on MS students for thesis projects should note that mentored MS theses should be completed within approximately 1 year.
- MS students are not funded by a GPILS stipend or a mentor-supported stipend; they are self-funded. Faculty mentors are not required to provide a stipend for MS students. However, mentors can choose to employ MS students (as lab technicians, for example) at their own discretion. Student employment conditions and benefit options (tuition remition, for example) are up to their employer and do not involve GPILS or the CMBS-MS program in any way.
