The Graduate Program in Life Sciences (GPILS) offers cutting edge research training in basic biomedical, clinical and population sciences. Our graduate programs in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Epidemiology & Human Genetics, Gerontology, Molecular Medicine, Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, Neuroscience, Physical Rehabilitation Science and Toxicology award the Ph.D. and M.S. in basic, clinical and population research, emphasizing the continuum from bench to bedside to population. GPILS provides integrative training that will meet the demands of the era that now follows the structural elucidation of the genome and the urgent need to translate biomedical advances to patients and communities. Students are well prepared for careers in academe, industry or government. Our ideal location within the nexus of biomedical research on the East Coast provides students with an unparalleled level of breadth and depth of expertise.
