Research

Development of new therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS and related neurodegenerative diseases and movement disorders. Basic research area of interest is the development of vectors to deliver macromolecular therapies to the brain. Current research interests include designer neurotoxins, novel neuroprotectants against excitotoxicity and neuronal differentiation of stem cells

Lab Techniques

Cell and tissue culture, protein expression and characterization, confocal microscopy, muscle physiolgy and small-animal surgery
