How to Apply

Students wishing to enter the Ph.D. Program in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology are asked to submit a completed pre-application form on-line. Approval will normally be based upon undergraduate grades (cumulative B average or better), letters of recommendation, Graduate Record Examination (graduate school code 5848, biochemistry program code 0202) scores (minimal 300 combined verbal + quantitative score), and, wherever possible, personal interviews.

Previous success in graduate education will be taken into consideration. Below are links to the pre-application, the full on-line application, and links to hardcopy application forms and our Program Handbook. If you have any questions about the application process and/or the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program, please do not hesitate to contact our Program Coordinator, Koula Cozmo, or one of the Program Directors: Gerald Wilson, Mike Summers. They are always eager to speak about our outstanding graduate program.

Students interested in pursuing a dual degree should note the Graduate Program in Life Sciences is associated with two nationally renowned dual-degree programs located right on our campus:

Note: Students interested in pursuing a dual degree will need to apply directly to either one of these programs.
