The number of graduate and postdoctoral positions available for support by T32 funds in the MINISTP will vary depending on current occupancy, student graduation and NIAID funding availability. Please contact program directors for current status.
Applicants are evaluated using a study-section scoring format and selected based on appropriate fit for the training program as well as potential impact on the trainee’s career trajectory from training components. Accordingly, relating your personal academic goals to the programmatic theme (see above) and making a strong case for your motivation to seek out interdisciplinary training will be helpful to the committee.
The application packet involves the following components.
- A 1-page application form
- A letter of support from your lab mentor
- Signed MINISTP Compact: an acknowledgment of training program related expectations and commitments.
The completed application must be emailed to the program at neuroimmunology@som.umaryland.edu.
